I tested out a new, and incredibly difficult and frustrating style of outlining today... A style that hurts the fingers, strains the eyes and looks truly awful until you add the first layers of colour.

I don't think I'll try it again, although it was worth checking out... o o

Well, for one thing, there isn't any black outline... All the outlines are darker colours of the basic colour the shape is... o o

And... the artist block isn't gone. This is actually a pic I did a while ago, but only got around to colouring... o o

That outlining looks quite good, yeah. Only you seem to have a bit bigger head than its usual O_o

Do you find the outlining preferable to my old style?

And yes, my head is a little big. But when you have as much difficulty drawing heads as I do, you really don't care about proportion as long as it looks right... ;)

I used coloured lines instead of my usual black outline. It was a lot more difficult, looked worse at the time and looks more cartoonish than I'd have hoped... o o

I like the lines you did, looks very smooth and goes well with the base color.
